Definitions
SYNTAX Score – The SYNTAX score is a relatively new way to describe the severity of coronary blockages. Because a high SYNTAX score is predictive of higher event rates among PCI patients, and is consequently indicative of higher relative treatment benefit for CABG, this score represents a potentially valuable prognostic guide for treatment selection.
Limited Dataset - A dataset removed of all Protected Health Information with the exception of the following elements: dates, such as admission, discharge, procedure, date of birth, date of death; city; state; zip code; and sex.
